During our interactive time together, we will focus on proven techniques that will allow managers to better achieve the results that your organization expects from you while enhancing the retention of your key people. Among the concepts we will unpack include the importance of positioning others to be successful, the impact of coaching in order for people to improve performance, as well as exploring the significance of effective communication as we strive to define the value of fully staffed, long-term stable teams. We will also cover working with your clients so their business will become an employer of choice.
The significance of the concepts we will cover is their universal application not just to work situations, but to all of our daily encounters that involve people. In a world in which we are all too busy, we will discuss how we determine what efforts are of the most value to our organization, co-workers, clients, family, and friends - to all the relationships we have with those we encounter each day.
Dr. Larry Firkins is the former Executive Associate Dean and Professor at the University of Illinois, College of Veterinary Medicine. Prior to joining the University in 1995 and serving as the Director of Research Stations for six years, he spent nine years as a partner in a veterinary practice in central Illinois. Dr. Firkins has given over 155 international presentations in 16 countries, over 550 presentations throughout the US.
